My time at AOLCC has been amazing! From the diploma program I chose, to the knowledge I have walked away with, to the help from all the amazing Learning Coaches, I have had a wonderful experience that has helped me immensely.

When I first started at AOLCC it was a big change. Going back to college for the second time in my 30’s, with two kids in tow, was a little intimidating, to say the least. But, the staff at AOLCC have always been understanding and accommodating to my needs as a student and first and foremost, as a mom.

I personally love the fact that I can work at my own pace, and if and when I have a question, I actually receive help without being judged for not knowing. Hayley and Tara have taken the time to sit down and fully explain things to me until I fully understand. I have been able to be open about my concerns, and even my personal life, and they listened.

Through my Business Accounting diploma program, I have been able to successfully gain employment within my field, which I obtained prior to graduation!

I have attended Academy of Learning Career College since October,2019 in the Business Accounting Diploma program. This is a fast-paced, learn-on-your-own program.

I enjoyed coming to campus every day. There are a lot of interesting people taking courses and it is fun to compare notes on the similarities between various program content. There is a lot to learn and the Learning Coaches are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. If they are not sure, or if you are not understanding what they are trying to explain, they will take the time to look up information to explain it in a way that you can understand. All the staff are kind and eager to help.

The textbooks are logically laid out and easy to follow. I personally would have liked opportunity to do more exercises on some of the subject matter, but we all learn in a different manner.

It is important to note that it is not all serious business at AOLCC; the staff work hard to put together fun holiday activities for the whole school to enjoy. There were several guest speakers who spoke on different topics, and special after school wellness fairs were set up free of charge for students to attend. I will miss being at school, my fellow students and I wish them all well.

I had a wonderful experience studying at Kingston’s Academy of Learning Career College. It was challenging going back to school at the age of 54. The instructors made the transition back into college easy and exciting. With that said, the flexible hours allowed me to manage my personal life and my studies with minimal stress. In the classroom, I was able to communicate with other students taking the same course as me. Tips from other classmates were very helpful.

I had to finish my last 3 months of studies online at home due to the COVID 19 virus. The staff at the school made the switch manageable and easy to follow. The Instructors responded to my calls and emails in a timely manner, which made finishing my course go smoothly. I have now successfully graduated with a diploma in Medical Office Administration and am excited about where it will take me.

I highly recommend enrolling at Academy of Learning Career College. Whether you are just starting out or starting over, they will take care of you, just as they did me.

My first three months at AOLCC, I was worried that the program I had chosen was too fast for my capabilities. I first stepped into the Academy of Learning Career College with the goal of obtaining my OSSD. As someone new to Canada, it was important for me to upgrade my skills to meet the educational requirements of my community. At that time, I had no confidence and was feeling broken due to many personal issues: family, financial, career, and, most prominently, a broken heart. My whole world felt upside down at the time, and I knew I needed to make a change.

After successfully obtaining my high school diploma, I decided to take my education further with AOLCC through their Medical Office Administration diploma program.

This experience has transformed me into a new person, academically and personally, and I feel much better about the future. I have no desire to go back to where I was, and with my updated education, I know that I won’t. that’s what I felt that time, later on realized that I wasn’t too bad, because I have seen many worse situations among the students in the AOL.

I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Academy of Learning Career College and its staff for all of their support. This school was here for me not only for educational purposes, but it has also been a relaxing, comfortable, cozy, experience for me, just like a mother’s nest. I felt this, and no doubt others will, as well!

Where I am now truly represents who I am and hope to always be. This experience has left me with no regrets and a full of appreciation to the staff and instructors. I’ve also made many good friends with whom I’ve studied, laughed and cried together!

Now, I am ready to “fly out of the nest” with full of confidence. I have a renewed sense of self and a Canadian diploma I am truly proud of!
